As humans we are like robots programmed for excuses...and most of the time we come up with some sort of wierd excuses that we could have avoided in the first place. We always feel like we need to justify ourselves with an excuse from time to time even when the truth is not that bad of a choice. Think about it...You are broke and your pals want you to join them for a movie...chances of you admitting that you don't got money on you are rare. What will most of you do?? Hahahaha...You will most likely say you had other plans...and you wish they could have told you earlier....Girl/Boy(trying to be gender sensitive but truth of the matter girls are the ones with this wierd habit) please...if you find yourself in a point you can't say the truth to your own crew....then either you are chilling with the wrong crowd or you just trying to fit in to some crew that you consider to be uber-cool and you ain't.
Once you are busted in between the excuse...that's when you will know things are thick! They might not tell you that you have been busted but you will notice you are getting the 'btw' invite to plots because they are done listening to your lame excuses. And that is why i consider excuses to be the ultimate matured lie. Why? Well because it always haunt you in the future conversations with your pals or even your own guy/chic.
Let me give you a personal experience for you to see how excuses can mess things up...So a few weeks back I had a meeting to attend...but I honestly didn't feel like going for the meeting...(we have all had such moments...) so I gave an excuse...ati am in the studio doing some project...heh!! This backfired on me...the one who was chairing the meeting was cool and bought into the lie. A week later she asks me just how far I am with that project that I have been doing in the studio and I have to propel the lie right? So I tell her I am almost done because I have been putting in extra hours...little did I know that her guy was the one in charge of the studio and she knew no extra hours were being put in...so in short...I looked like a fool.
Now you see why this is one of the many things that need to change in 2015? We need to be blunt and honest because aint nobody got time to carry around a whole book of excuses around...you always need to cram what you said to George so that when you bump into Dylan...you will have to use the same excuse...I might sound mean in this blog but it's about time people quit living their lives from the sidelines...
So...if you find yourself in a situation where you have to come up with some twisted excuse...think twice...the truth may hurt but guess what hurts more? A matured lie that is exposed! These things are explosive be sure to remember that...
