I believe we all know what selfies are and the importance we have placed in taking selfies in the past couple of years. I understand the need to be part of the world's development but you got to agree with me, some people are taking selfies to a whole new level...it's never that serious people! Its funny how chics spend so much time taking selfies more than coming up with a better self-development project. I am not hating just stating facts. I am not saying that men are not affected by this selfie craze...na-ah...I will get to them in a minute but first let me start with my fellow sisters.
What is with the weird poses girls? Some of y'all look like you are disabled in some of the pics you take. Let me burst your bubbles ladies, you see the thing you do with your legs as you try and pout for the camera??...not sexy at all!!! That's just one of my observations and backed up by my very reliable boys...the same boys who will double-tap that instagram post while laughing at your pose with the squad. So save yourself some embarrassment and be you. Remember no one can beat you at being you!
I am not done with you ladies yet just one more quarrel, taking about fifty selfies just to look for the perfect one to post...is God's sign that it ain't your flawless day baby girl just move on...tomorrow is another day...don't push your luck and depend on the filters to save you. Oh the filters...let me not go there today.
Okay now to the men, the era of making fun of how girls take their pics by imitating their duck-faces is dead and gone so it ain't funny anymore. Drop it and move on. Issue #2 with the guys...(check on YouTube loves for proof), dudes are taking the selfie craze to do daring stunts as if Guinness World Book of Records is going to acknowledge them. It is never that serious guys you don't have to take a selfie petting a lion at the park only for us to find your name on the obituary announcements the next day.
Okay now that am done digressing...there are some good things selfies have brought into our lives... Snapchat for instance bases it's inspiration on telling stories via selfies. The Selfie stick is also an innovation...not for you who has a cracked screen like me due to bad positioning but for the guy who sat down and made the decision to make money out of all the selfie craze. Have you heard of the elfies!? I bet not...John Kerry, the Secretary of state is the one who introduced them to us in a bid to create awareness of how much baby elephants are in danger. What happens is you can adopt your own baby elephant...take an elphie (at a price of course...hii ni Kenya) all for a good cause. Trust me am going to adopt the same one he adopted just for me to affiliate myself with greatness. Finally, Kim Kardashian (you knew this name is on auto-correct! ??) she recently released a book...wait for it...of her selfies!!
My point is people are making money out of this selfie craze...what are you doing with yours?? Just waiting for likes on IG..huh?
Opportunities are everywhere and you have to wake up and realize it! So let's move forward this year...be innovative and maybe I will be posting about you next.
